Trip Report
It was the day, February 24, 2011 we visited the high dam Lindoso.
It was 8:30 when we had to get on the bus. The journey began. In the morning, around 10:20, we stopped at a service area, where we were stopped about 10 minutes. Later, we stopped about 30 minutes, by 11:15 in Arcos de Valdevez, for the driver for the "disk at rest" and also for us to know the land and buy alcohol for the sausage because the fluid that had poured-led inside the bus. We also appreciate the scenery was striking. The river was so clean as to what felt like a swim and the weather helped.
At about 12:30 we were already at the door of the secondary school of the bridge of the boat for lunch. After lunch we went to school until 13:20 to continue the journey (dam).
We reached the dam, we hope the guide from EDP to come with us, make us a guided tour inside the tunnel that went towards the site of the turbines, where it was made the production of energy. Inside there are two valves with 6 meters in diameter each, for driving and braking of water. Inside the dam is a "sideshow." The noise was that it was huge. Big machine there it was, it was all computerized so that there was contact between man-coil.
At 16:00, a good divine bid divided by class (one thing to never forget) at the foot of a castle and a lot of baskets (granaries).
On arrival, it took an hour longer than expected because a boy vomited and there was an accident during the journey, in Porto.
We arrived at school at 19:30. This trip should be repeated again
