1 - All persons who participate in these programs are at risk of not liking the end result and wanting to go back the way they were before, however this is impossible.
2 - I think that change people's personalities is a very difficult task because it is necessary that the person is willing to change their way of being and their behavior, because nobody is able to change other people, we must ourselves be the do something good for us.
3 - Yes, I enjoyed watching these programs because it is very funny to see the before and after, see the reaction of that person and their family and still see all the stages of transformation that participants are subject.

Work and Leisure        


When I was a little girl, I was happier than now maybe because I didn’t have so much to worry about, and I had more free time, more time to play and fun, though I didn’t have so much knowledge, and life experience.
The traditional wisdom suggests that we should divide our day schedule into three parts: eight hours for sleep, eight hours for leisure, and eight hours for work.
Lately, I used to have much more that eight hours for leisure, now my day schedule divides only in two parts: work and sleep.
I work much more than eight hours.
During the week I spend about eight hours at school, and when I arrive at home, I study and try to review the subjects that are given every day.
I also made time to stay with my friends and participate in other activities outside the school.
I feel tired very often during the year but also satisfied with the results, then I’m ‘’rewarded’’, as always we work or always when we make an effort.
So, when I see a child with a smile playing on the street with simple puddles of water, or chasing a bird I remember my childhood and also remember that I used to have more time to ‘’breathe’’…

Work and Leisure:

Part of my life is spent working, studying or better. Study on average eight to nine hours a day to school.
In the morning I get up and go to school at the end of classes and study only after all the work is coming from leisure.
In my free time I practice various activities such as playing soccer, playing computer games, horseback riding, biking, among many other things that are possible to do.
I know I spend enough time studying, but also take advantage of their free time and I have to amuse myself.
While studying to be a bit tiring and sometimes become a routine, the studies are accurate. Be home to the good life might be better, but sooner or later end up in misery, without effort and without making sacrifices do not get anywhere. Nowadays the studies that a person has are who will decide their future and their quality of life.
Besides being necessary to study to succeed in having a reasonable life, life must be seized to the fullest while you can. If life was just work also became too drying, it was a life that was not anything seized.
To occupy these sayings such there are many leisure activities outside of work and school, these activities are designated for leisure.

For the life become more exciting and we have to do with the will to live we have to make the most fun to me and us to the big.

As I mentioned earlier, to occupy my free time I do things that give me more pleasure to do.
Life is still, can not be everything, as we wish. Do not get anywhere without effort.
Life is divided by work and leisure.

Important moments in my life:

I love animals especially cats.
One of my goals when I came to this course was to study veterinary
then something struck me was the very few times when one of the cats from my mother had a beautiful yellow cat, who fell in love as soon as I saw her. Was hairy, a silky, soft, beautiful, but she was not very gentle, not let us give you a hand.
I never gave up on it, until conquered and gave him the name Nininha because she was very sweet, but the worst had to happen ... she was very, very sick and died. I was too sad, I cried and asked God to return, but it was too late.
My parents when they see my pain let me buy two Persian kittens, and I bought the Tito and Princess. Were the best thing that happened to me, they are beautiful and too dear.
The princess is a very sweet girl, but never out of his stance cat important. Tito already beyond is the most beautiful and sweet baby I know.
Every night I lie down so he comes to lie on my neck, and spends the night with me, when I get home he always comes to me to get you.
I remember like it was today the day that I first fell in love immediately.
I can honestly say they make me very happy and things are the best memory of my life.

♥ I miss my childhood times: lightheartedness, with the easy going live, the true leisure.

Although I have always been busy, life was much more simpler. I had time to run, to travel, to jump, to laugh, to reflect, to be in contact with Nature and animals.

Today the situation is very different, reality is another. I have many responsibilities, I have deadlines to meet, expectations to achieve and free time is scarce.

The life of true students should not be so complicated or the effort better recognized. However what really worries me is the future. Everybody tells me that hard work will start when I go to the university. Honestly, I’m afraid because I want to enjoy life, carry out all of my dreams and to have success.

Our life is so uncertain. Should not it be more simple?

A child memory

When I was a child, in my summer holidays, I woke up in the morning and the weather was very good. My parents told me that I should hurry up because the day was so good that it would be nonsense if we didn’t get the most of the day. Then we travel to a place in the field by car. We made a picnic in the middle of the forest. After that, we went to a place in which there were a lot of steps (286) between the rocks. We didn’t know that place but we climbed all of the steps and we left at the lookout. We were very surprised with the fantastic landscape around us, because our points of view were spectacular.

I loved it and I will never forget this day because I saw that the Nature is really, really beautiful!

From my perspective, there is no nothing more beautiful than Nature.

Work and leisure

Work and leisure… What an undefined theme! It’s not really easy to talk about such a theme like that. But even so i’ll try.

Well… people say that we have eight hours to sleep, eight hours to work and eight for leisure. But, from my point of view, this is just theory. Look at your school timetable. You never spend less than eight hours just in the work you have at school.But if you think it is all, wait up! It’n not over! Or are you forgetting the times when you have homework, or  even when you have tests? In these cases you get almost all of the weekdays spent without leisure, isn’t it so? The only days that you can say you can have that theorical balance well-used is at the week-ends, because you don’t have the school, so you have the power to do what is better to you(even if it is not what pleases you more. You sometimes need to do some sacrifices to be well succeeded, you know).

Secondly there is another thing that we can talk concerning this theme (after all, it was not so undefined as it seemed!). You have to balance well work and leisure. I’ve heard some people say that now they work so much that they say that when they were young they were much happier than what they are now. And one of them is me. But sometimes it is so hard to conciliate these two things that we don’t take time for us. But this should be avoided because, as people say, “all work and no play makes jack a dull boy” . This means that if we work too much and don’t take time to have fun, no one will be able to stand us. 

So finally I would say that although that eight hour thing is just theory, we should try to make it not get very far from reality.

The Past in the Present*

Since really soon I entertained me with pens and papers, since really soon I was not accustomed to fail. I went to the school and already knew how to read a book, to make a multiplication or a division. It was a constant cede to the desire of learn and develop. The nights that I spent seated on the lap of my father, feeling the warmth of the fireplace, learning more alphabet’s letters, more words, more numbers, were the trampoline for I didn’t to belong to a class of students of my age. It is these nights that are still saved in my trunk of memories. It was unchanging this routine of infallibility. It was with it that I grew up, it is without it that I keep me.

A proverb of the common sense says that: “ how much higher we climb, greater is the fall."I'm falling, but I didn’t fall yet … I climbed too much high and now the fall will be long. I have and I had until fall, high hopes. Maybe too much… And I know that that is what disappoints me when I fail, is the connection with the past that eludes me. But it is this illusion that makes me fight.

The student life hasn’t being easy: the results are not commensurate with the effort. I’m sure that I’m involved in many activities. I feel a empty time, but full of everything: I don’t get time to realize everything with calm and dignity because it is completely filled by busy seconds. It can be conducive to the fall, I admit. But I can’t live without this seconds. I know that I would be frustrated having too much time, useless. The defect persists in the fact that I can not leave these occupations.

I am surpassing a repair period, looking for a solution for the fails: a past irony.

It is, undoubtedly, this constant travel to the past that transforms the way like I view the present.

   Someday, I will travel around the world with my man Zé and money we will earn in Euro-Million.

First Stop: Spain. Bull fights, Spanish girls and a Barcelona-Real Madrid game we will see.

Second Stop: France. Eiffel Tower, croissants, the city of love with too Colin Rouge workers we will visit.

Third Stop: Germany. Drink beer and try out some girls.

Forth Stop: Nederland. Girls in a shop exposed with legal drugs, a good night we will have for certain.

Fifth Stop: Italy. Pizza, “spaghetti” and we will see some gladiator girls in a coliseum.

Sixth Stop: Russia. Vodka and cold, some girls will have to get us hot.

Seventh Stop: India. Sacred Cows… Hm! I will not want to eat it, but a Rabbi's wife maybe.

Eighth Stop:  Japan. I’ve never liked Asian girls, but with the technologic break-outs there it could mean a miracle.

Ninth Stop: USA. Hollywood, Las Vegas casino house, Miami beaches and crazy American girls. I do not know what I’m going to do.

Tenth Stop: Brazil. Rio de Janeiro, almost naked girls, it makes a man lose his head.

After we returns to Portugal and we work to earn money again!

The best moment in my life was the day I received my puppy Pitucha. I can remember it like it was today, there I was sited on a bench in hospital, crying of pain when a kind old lady said to me '' -Stop crying and I will give you a puppy.'', I stopped immediately. A week later, there was that little piece of energy, she's was so small and cute, she's so beautiful, all black with white chest and one white nail in the front feet, her ears are always up like a satelite.

Well, enough of descriptions, Pitucha is my best friend, the best of the bests. She's that tower of support, I know this seems a little bit silly and corny but she's not a dog, she seems human.

Pitucha knows and I know we are one. She's always there when I cry and cry, every night she's the shoulder when I cry with when know one is there, she's my strength when everyone is too overweight with pain and can not stand up to help me, she's the smile when the world seems to get to a end, she's a friend when now one knows what to say. Now, she's a older sister, since mine pasted away because everyone said ''I will be here for you!'', but indeed I look around and there's now one there, just Pitucha.

She's my shelter, she's not a ordinary dog she's human!

I love you Pitucha.

WORK AND LEISURE

If in a month it is difficult it describes moments of work, moments of pause for leisure or I rest then in a week or in a day it is still more difficult. But I am going to try..

During the days of school the time-tables differ but the working hours for standard are practically same, unless there are tests and that there will be an added necessity of studying.

So I can say that I work approximately nine hours daily, accomplish eight to sleep and remainder seven stay for leisure.

As for every weekend I can say what on Saturday is dedicated more to the work and on Sunday specially to the leisure, being of use to do what provides us more pleasure and what applies for more time, since he will walk, to be next to the family or of the friends or to dedicate to cultural activities for example.

Knowing that the days are not all equals for besides they all having the same number of hours, this one it was only a short bunch what I could do from what is one week divided between work and leisure in my life while student.

   2009 July, with my parents authorization I entered in a plain going to England. I had no concrete idea what I was doing: I was going alone to a foreign country to a English course! However, a week later I lived one of the best adventures in my life.

   I was there and, against my will, I had time-table to fit in: I woke up at 7, went a ride, took a shower, had breakfast, after that, for my sadness, 3 hours of classes. After lunch, the institute used to take us to a city where we could do whatever we wanted the rest of afternoon.

   At this time I made some Italian friends  and Spanish ones, one of this girls became really close to me.

   When I arrived to Portugal, me and my family flew to Jamaica: sun, beach, sea, “marijuana” and one time I got drunk – I was in vacations!

   I was there 10 days, went to Bob Marley’s house and the rest of the days to the beach… It was the best holidays I ever had.

   In the end, I had to come back to Portugal, to my “job” that, to my sadness, I’ve to go everyday and I wrote this text.

Me and my self

I lived in Mozambique, with my mother, my brother and my father, who was sometimes absent because of his work.

For me being there was everything, as if there was another world, nor knew that there was more stuff than that!

All this started when I was seven years, I came to Portugal. Two years earlier, my father died, I suffered, cried, but things had to pass, and eventually passed, and with it, I grew up!

I had this opportunity to start my life, but without the people who were accustomed to deal, without my family ... I had to think of me, would better for me, few had an opportunity like this , to could have a future better.

Very small and thin, I was already in Portugal, without my family, had come to come and live with my maternal uncles, especially with my aunt, who has charged me until now. The arrival in this country was abrupt, radical, everything changed! There was nothing accustomed to this environment in the early days was to pee in bed, dreaming as still there, as if he were still with all those people.

But I couldn’t give up, I had to rebuild everything, trying to deal with this situation, not the people who liked around, but on the other hand, had my aunt, who is now like my mother. The friends had to be redone, everything changed!

The teaching was different, everything was different, I would move to the third class, but I had to redo the second class, and it was the best thing that they have done, because I knew nothing, could barely read and write. Evolves enough in a few months was at the level of others, I was feeling more confident, it was as if he had conquered that portion of people who surrounded me, sentia.me happy and pleased with myself.

I got used quickly to the environment, the people around me make me feel good, I had everything that I wanted, the grades were good, became one of the best students, I and my uncles were pleased with me. I went through an extremely complicated, could overcome this barrier, not fail, I continued, I worked to get through all the difficulties, despite miss my mother and my brother ...

To not feel sad, I wondered: "Why am I here, what am I doing here? "- These questions have meaning, they helped me to realize my purpose - my future, if my future became the best, I could help my family. And it never leaves the head, gotta get, gotta get, and I Will!

Over the years went over the barriers, I learned from my mistakes,I grow up! Many people say that they want to be older to be able to get rid of the parents, but do not think they will make you miss. Just because they say they have had from parents always present, have had the affection and support them, which not everyone has! But when they realize it may already be too late, and only then will value.

Emotion recolleted in tranquility: Memories

I will never forget my first travell with my class when I was six. We went to the Zoo in Lisbon. Was my first class trip, without my parents, because until that day I have never travelled without them.

I was only six years old, but I'll never forget the moments, the animals and most of all the friedship that I made there.

The first contact I had with the animals was 'scared and amazing' at the same time.

I saw many species of birds, monkeys, lions and their clans, giraffes, donkeys and much more 'strange and tropical' animals and I remember that at the end of the day we saw the dolphins' show.

That was the biggest part of the day for many kids, but for me the best thing was being by myself, just with my new friends and teacher.

In that trip I knew much better four persons that now are my best friends. We talk a lot about the animals, we play many games that make us closer until now. I'm not to old but I have good memories that make me proud of myself and my life!

Advertising

In past times, people had to produce their own utensils, food, etc. There were people who sold what they had created and the products lasted a long time, serving to subsequent generations. Before they buy whatever it was, people thought well about what they were going to buy. No sooner had industrialization appeared, than there has a lot of production and more varied products to sell. Since there was more production than consumption, there was a need to find a way to appeal people to buy, and appeared marketing strategies.

Nowadays, more and more people buy products irrationally, deluding themselves with what they see in advertising products. This illusion is a distortion of reality, caused by a marketer who says that the product has all the qualities of the world.

I think that people must do something to control the publicity to avoid to have more false advertising and to stabilize the number of publicity created per year. Therefore, people will live less boring with advertising.

There are no space…

It was night. It was dark and cold, The wind blew slowly, Men didn’t believe in present and there was no future. In the darkness of time appeared lights, noises, smells. Mixed with the perfume of jasmine from fields, a soft perfume of novelties amazed the landscape. Then, came a strange vehicle and strange inhabitants left it: they had a slim figure, gelatinous, shine and bizarre. The strong noise of the moment called attention of Men that were there: they opened the door, switches on lights and with a unknown expression analyzed that landscape. Unquestionably, they understood that they was seeing extraterrestrials. This creatures crossed the fields with trust! They crossed the smells, the noise and the lights, and handed a jug to a pastor who was there, petrified with the situation. Then, the extraterrestrials left that dimension with the same trust that they come and without expression, because the expressions were a human stuff and they were everything less humans.

In the next morning, the silence of human skepticism became a strong hum caused by disorder, The jug was another unknown, So, the Men discussed to decided who would open the jug. When they got a decision and saw the contents of the jug didn’t believe in that vision.

It was love, But there was no space for it in Earth, the place of normal people.

The Spring

When we think of spring, we associate the revival of flora and fauna that are terrestre.Plants during the winter, drought, or just not flower at this time begin to create flower, then to give us the fruit.

Nowadays advertising has completely invaded our lives. If we get out of our home, we can see posters of beauty products and stuff like that. If we are in our homes and turn on the TV lots of advertisements come to our eyes, some of them really boring ones. But is advertising that good or is it bad?

I think that advertising has its good side. If there was no advertising we couldn’t know about the new products, so we would never know about the advances in technology or some kind of awareness campaign, for example, and it could be really useful.

On the other hand, advertising has a very bad side. I understand that they want to make us know about their products and so forth, but do they need to do so big advertisements just for one product? I can’t see the logic of doing it. Sometimes people are so tired of that advertisement that they would never, and I mean never, buy the thing that is being advertised.

To conclude I would like to say that I think of advertising as a two-sided coin, none of them being dominated by the other.

Nowadays the importance of advertising is increasing. Even people that aren`t in contact with it are faced with a society, with a culture and with other people who are manipulated.

Today don`t live whithout advertising, it is everywhere; magazines, television, newspapers, posters and many other media and no media industries.

Every day we are influenced by advertising that it around us to buy a product or to use an object that we want , we are manipulated. Here is the power of advertising!

To know the opinion of some people was made a questionnaire with the following questions:

1. What´s your position facing the advertising publicity?

2. Where do you prefer watching advertising?

3. Are you manipulated by advertising?

Concluded that the majority of females between fifteen and twenty years prefer whatch advertising in television; between twenty and thirty years prefere whatch in the magazines and between thirty and fourty years prefer listen to the rádio.

The most males between fifteen and twenty years prefer whatch advertising in television, between twenty and thirty years prefer listen to the rádio and between thirty and fourty years prefer whatch in the newspapers.

However, some people don´t like advirtising because they consider misleading and manipulat ive, others don´t expressed their views while remaining indifferent.

Today we are bombarded with advertising from all sides, with television being one of the most used for advertisement ...
Much of the intervals between television programs are overwhelmed with advertisements and the viewer is forced to watch them and internalize them without even realizing it.
The role of advertising should be to inform the consumer of a given product and its true nature but mostly this is not the case and the publicity it is misleading or abusive.

Misleading and unfair

The advertising is misleading the consumer leads to error, when presenting a product or service with qualities which in reality does not have. It is a false advertising.
One must distinguish the advertising of improper advertising. This is more serious, because it induces consumers to behave harmful advertisements are inciting violence, disrespect environmental values, exploiting fear of the consumer, or take advantage of the inexperience of a given age silhouette. Both methods of unfair and deceptive advertising is prohibited by the Code of Consumer Protection and the offender may be subject to imprisonment from three months to a year and a fine.

A case of beauty

One of the most common advertising is that using famous icons as models, actors or singers, with an image that would spend all you have ... this makes the public want that product just because the ad says that the use will be similar or have as much fame as famous as this ... This type of advertising focuses on the consumer desire, it buys the product but rather the expected results the product is not what was expected and the promised results do not appear ... this can cause consumers reached by concerned, for example, your own self esteem because just by thinking that your problem is not the product ...

Do not be fooled

This announcement is a commercial kind. It´s connected to glasses sale to improve the sight.

Magazine´s name is “A.C.P” and it is an informative and commercial classification. The magazine has sixteen six (66) pages with at least thirteen commercials.

The most part of announcement or the biggest one is a commercial kind. This announcement it´s directed to all the peoples that have insufficient vision and needs to improved her.

The advert occupies one page. The central image are ladybug red and black with a deeper river and mountains, and also with a very finest image quality that means that who buys this glasses, will have a better colour sight and everything around.

Red is connected with life, with good sight, and blue deeper is connected with hope and safety, on getting a better solution to insufficient vision.

The slogan is: “Natural vision, at any distance”.

It proves that, if you have this glasses you will see well at a short and farther distance.

The letters size and type are bigger that the argumentative text, and aply attention.

Nowadays, advertising is implicit in our lives, and where that can be seen best, is at the media most used by the Portuguese people, which is the television. In this media we see a advertising in all intervals, or rather, all intervals are advertising, institutional or not, and much of it is hidden even in television programs, which will cause our subconscious to be thinking in the advertising, thus causing a craving for the product, not knowing where it comes from (anxiety) bringing the subconscious to interact with the conscious, which is later in the "force" to buy the product because it makes it like a drug, which has to be "consumed” (purchased) to satisfy the desire for it.
Advertising is everywhere (radio, television, billboards, in our clothes and ornamentals, etc..), Which forces us to a "blocking" and get a brain “retardation”, it can fill the brain with too much information, yet relatively hidden, and distract us from the central feed of our existence, which is live and not, buy.
Well, advertising has many faces, or negative types, such as tricky and abusive advertising, and is tricky when the result which promised was not fulfilled, and abusive when encourages consumers to take dulled actions for him, like as for to society, (in a short way to say) such as advertising films for adults during a time that is very unlikely, especially dedicated to children, causing it to have an impact on their future.

How is advertising?

Today advertising is a means commonly used by people to publicize their products and sometimes their work. We see these advertisements on TV, on electronic billboards located in cities, giant posters placed in the streets, in leaflets distributed in shopping centers and sometimes even advertising to reach our home via the ctt (post-road).
The type of advertising is the most used television as millions of people spend much of their time in front of a TV. It occupies almost all the time gaps in progamas television, making it sometimes a little boring due to its large number of repetitions.
The advertisements are not always true, ie do not address the reality as it is, we call it advertising. Advertising hides many secrets that people do not know.
This has been growing and evolving more and more over time. In ancient times it was not anything like it, since neither had television.

In addition to the disadvantages that the advertising in the back also has its positive aspects, such as for example, knowledge of jobs through advertisements in newspapers, magazines, etc..
Looking at how this has developed, it is expected that advertising is a great technology in the future.

The history of toys

Since ancient times that toys have played an important role in the lives of children. For thousands of years children played with toys of all kinds. Marbles were used by children in Africa for thousands of years. In Ancient Greece and the Roman Empire, were common toy boats and wooden swords, among boys, girls turn made their own cloth dolls.

During the Middle Ages, puppets toys were very common among children.

By the end of the nineteenth century, most of the toys were manufactured in house, or handmade.

Currently the toys are no longer made of cloth or wood, are mass manufactured and marketed.

The most common toys for babies aged zero to twelve months are simple musical toys, toys or crib, objects that hang in the baby crib. These toys encourage motor skills, vision and hearing of the baby.

After the first year of life, blocks that can be fitted together and stuffed animals are also interested in the baby.

Dolls are attracting the attention of children around the second year of life.

Between the two to six years of age, the child becomes more interested in exploring the world around them. Some toys such as tricycles, balls and building blocks help to strengthen the muscles of the child.

However, it is concluded that the toys underwent tremendous development are no longer simple cloth toys or wood and have become useful for the development of children and even created assigned so strong that keep your favorite toy ever!

Consumerism is the act of consuming goods and services indiscriminately, with no notion that can be harmful to our health or the environment. There are several discussions on the subject, including the type of influence that companies, through advertising and publicity, as well as the culture industry, through the TV will have on people.

Often the ads on TV are the main source of curiosity to

get people to try the products used by famous people sometimes are not the best suited for certain people, what with the excessive use can cause further damage, including problems health and also losing a lot of money.

Life isn’t the same without advertising: We just open the door and found a wonderful billboard of cheerful colours, such as size; the slogan could hold our attention for five seconds that will not easily be deleted from our visual memory. The world is irrevocably directed to marketing; the truth is that we no longer imagine another situation.

Maybe is too much, maybe enough… Nothing bettr than the voice of the citizen to make me understand the influence that advertising has on society. For this I was in contact with lots of people of different ages, in order to understand what is their opinion about the advertising. I obtained the following results:

- The most of women support the advertising and prefer see it on television;

- On the other hand the men are of the opinion that advertising is uninteresting, though they support it.

- They prefer television advertising, like women.

Then, I did a study for ages in order to understand what factores influenced the impressions of society.

I can conclude trough the graphs that people over 60 beginning not accept the advertising, maybe the knowledge and experience of life has influenced the way of thinking. From a general point of view, people can accept advertising and also support it.

Relatively the preferences, television is undoubtedly the organ of communications elected by the majority to enjoy the publicity. The radio is a organ of communication especially used by older age groups: The young people don’t hear much radio. One of the reasons for this fact is the replacing of radio with the Mp3 and Ipod’s.

Now… I have a huge doubt: Did I will advertise this article?
